Lake Tahoe Winter Activities

Lake Tahoe, located in the heart of the Sierra Nevada, offers superb alpine skiing and cross-country skiing at over 18 unique ski areas. Camp Richardson hosts its own 35KM cross-country ski track on site. For downhill skiing, Heavenly Mountain Resort and Sierra-at-Tahoe are located just 30 minutes from Camp Richardson Resort. Horse-drawn sleigh rides are located across the street at the Camp Richardson Corral and ice skating, or snowmobiling are just a short drive from Camp Richardson.

Lake Tahoe Summer Activities

As America's largest alpine lake, 12 miles wide and 22 miles long, Camp Richardson Resort sits right on the south shore of Lake Tahoe and has one of the best sand beaches on the lake. Hiking and biking, water sports, horseback riding and more are located right out our front door. Plus, our on-site Mountain Sports Center provides you with all the equipment and information you need to enjoy our natural surroundings. World-class golfing, the Heavenly Gondola, shopping, paddlewheel cruises, and more are located within a short drive.

A short drive from Camp Richardson and located across the border in Stateline, Nevada, are five casinos: Harrah's, Harveys, Horizon, MontBleu and Lakeside Casino, which offer headline entertainment, nightlife and 24/7 gaming fun.
